The Titanic Museum in Branson is anything but a regular museum—it is a one-of-a-kind experience, allowing you to feel what it was like to walk the hallways of this majestic ship.
This magnificent attraction was opened in 2006, and its owner, John Joslyn, was part of a 1987 undersea expedition that explored the ship's remains. Although the museum is a replica of the famous ship, it's only half as big as the actual Titanic. Still, some sections of the ship, like the Grand Staircase, are built to the exact scale of the original.
The attraction boasts over 400 artifacts from the original ship and its passengers, valued at over $4.5 million. To make the experience more personal, each guest entering the ship receives a boarding pass from an actual Titanic passenger or crew member, with a brief backstory written on it.
You can also explore the engine room and view real passengers' personal items, including letters and preserver vests, on display. Various interactive exhibits intensify the experience—you can sit in an actual-sized lifeboat from the ship and dip your hand in 28F water.
At the end of the tour, you will enter the Titanic Memorial Room with 2,208 names on the wall and discover your passenger or crew member's fate.
While this is a self-guided tour, you'll learn all about the ship, its rooms, exhibits, and passengers through an audio guide, so you can explore the museum at your own pace.

Your tour of the Titanic Museum begins even before you venture inside, as the building is an exhibit in itself. It's an 18-foot replica of the original ship, built exclusively for this purpose, using original drawings from shipbuilders Harland and Wolff!
Inside the museum, you'll see what the first-class and third-class living quarters of the ship looked like. You'll learn how many people shared a third-class room and how much it cost to stay in either part of the ship.
The Grand Staircase, which was constructed from the original blueprints and cost around $1 million, is the centerpiece of the ship and a fantastic photo opportunity. You'll be amazed by its beautiful oak carvings and cherub statue, as well as the magnificent glass dome above it!
The museum features numerous interactive exhibits. Step onto the Captain's bridge to steer the ship or shovel "coal" in the Titanic boiler room. To make the experience as realistic as possible, you can even touch a real iceberg! You will also get a chance to experience the ship's sloping decks and learn how to send an SOS distress signal.
Besides interactive exhibits, you'll find out more about the 712 survivors as well as over 2,000 passengers who lost their lives—their documented thoughts, feelings, and experiences are all recreated by the museum.

They offer Rose's dark blue crystal heart necklace in various sizes and at different price points. You can also find stunning accessories like Rose's hair comb, pearl necklaces, and Titanic sea lockets. If you're visiting with kids, you can get them Titanic-inspired plushies or buy a Titanic model, available in various sizes.

The Titanic Museum in Branson is located at 3235 76 Country Blvd. at the intersection of 76 and Highway 165, and you can contact the venue by calling 800-381-7670. It's close to popular Branson attractions like the Clay Cooper Theater, Hollywood Wax Museum, and the Branson Ferris Wheel. Plus, it's only 2.3 miles away from the Westgate Branson Woods Resort!
The museum is usually open from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Thursday. On Fridays and Sundays, it's open from 8:30 a.m. to 9 p.m., while on Saturdays, it's open from 8:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. The opening hours may vary throughout the year, so check them before visiting.
The tour usually takes an hour and a half to two hours. Still, you can take your time exploring the ship—there's no tour guide besides the audio guide, so you don't have to rush.

Before you embark on your journey through history, keep in mind the museum is best suited for adults and older children. While they provide a special audio guide for kids, your toddler may not enjoy the museum as much as you will.
Another thing to remember is that many areas of the museum are cold due to the interactive exhibits, so don't forget to bring a light sweater. Also, don't start your tour on an empty stomach. While the original Titanic had a fancy restaurant on board, the museum doesn't serve food.
If you're eager to take photos, you can only do so on the second floor, at the beginning of the Grand Staircase, but no videos are allowed.
