Formerly known as Gorgoza Park, Woodward Park City is a first-class Park City sledding facility that offers a wide range of fun activities during winter. The tubing park has 10 lanes of different lengths, including one of the longest lanes in Utah, which stretches for 1,200 feet.
Two magic carpets make returning to the top quick and effortless. All tubing tracks are illuminated, so you can keep the fun going even after the sun sets.
The tubing area is available daily from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m., with two-hour slots starting every hour. If two hours aren’t enough, you can also get an all-access ticket and enjoy unlimited rides for an entire day.
Woodward Park City is the perfect place to bring your entire family because it offers something for everyone. Although this sledding hill isn’t groomed, the snow is well-packed thanks to many sledders using it daily. Since it is a public sledding area, it doesn’t have magic carpets or lifts.
This hill is a perfect venue for families and younger kids, offering a relaxed and enjoyable sledding experience without any costs. It’s easily accessible from the road, making it convenient for carrying equipment and even for stopping by for a quick sledding adventure.

Frequently Asked Questions About Park City Sledding
Does Park City offer sledding?
Yes, you can enjoy Park City sledding and tubing throughout the winter season in several locations. The most popular one is the Woodward Park City complex, which offers a wide range of fun activities.
If you’d like to experience nature up close, Soldier Hollow has some of the longest tubing runs where you can sled while enjoying the picturesque views of the Wasatch Mountains.
What equipment do you need to go sledding?
Apart from a sled or tube, you don’t need any special gear to enjoy sledding. Since it can get cold, don’t forget to bring a snow jacket, a warm hat, and a pair of winter gloves to stay warm.
Many places, including Woodward Winter Park, don’t allow ski boots, so make sure to put on your regular waterproof snow boots.
What is the best temperature to go sledding?
It’s best to go sledding when the temperature is around 29–30°F. At this range, the snow isn’t frozen solid and hasn’t yet started to melt either, so it’s just firm enough to keep you gliding smoothly. With a nice compact surface, you’ll get that perfect sledding speed and a fun ride down the hill.
What safety precautions should I take into account while sledding?
Sledding is generally safe, but it’s important to take some basic precautions. Watch for warning signs, stay out of closed areas, and make sure you’re sledding within your skill level. Check the terrain ahead to match your comfort level, and keep control of your sled or tube for a safe, enjoyable ride.
How old do you have to be to go sledding?
Although there are no strict restrictions for sledding in general, many Park City sledding slopes have specific age guidelines that require all participants to be at least three years old.
At Woodward Park City, for example, all children aged three to five must use the lower lanes specially designed for young children. Children aged six and older can use the longer, upper tubing lanes.
