With a tradition of over 50 years, Sight & Sound Theatres in Branson offers an unforgettable experience. Glenn Eshelman, originally a landscape painter turned photographer, conceived the idea after a successful show in 1964.
Sight & Sound grew over the years, with its first full-length Biblical show, 'Behold the Lamb,' in 1987. Despite a fire in 1997, they rebuilt the venue and kept bringing amazing live shows to audiences. Today, the theater is a modern establishment with 2,000 seats and a huge 300-foot stage, holding sets up to four stories tall.
The first show at the new theater was 'NOAH,' which amazed audiences with its grand sets and live animals on stage. Don't worry if you haven't seen this spectacle—each Sight & Sound's production is a visual delight, featuring detailed sets, talented actors, and live animals.

The crew pays attention to every detail, from the intricately designed sets that transport you to another time to the majestic costumes that bring each character to life.
Upon arrival, you'll enter a grand lobby spanning 20,000 square feet with a stunning dome ceiling and mock sets. Below the ground, two basement levels house and train live animals used in the production.
During shows, the theater dazzles with 2 million watts of lighting and immersive sound from over 70 surround-sound speakers. Performers can enter scenes from multiple points using a stage fly-loft that lifts them up to 110 feet. A sophisticated catwalk system, with more than 200 trusses, allows actors to move across the stage, adding to the dynamic performances that capture the imagination of every audience member.

4 | Sight & Sound Conservatory |
If you love performing arts and want to improve your skills as a performer, consider the Sight & Sound Conservatory. It's an intense program, with students acting, singing, and dancing for up to 10 hours a day, five and a half days a week. It's challenging but rewarding, designed to shape you not only as a performer but also as a person.
The four-semester program focuses on hands-on learning and classroom techniques. You can develop your talent while embracing a Christian worldview. The program is looking for students who are eager to receive professional training in this unique environment.
To apply, you must go through auditions and submit an application. Scholarships are available to help with tuition costs. You'll also need to provide three letters of recommendation as part of your application.
