Prepare to set aside one to two hours for an underwater expedition of a lifetime at Shipwrecked Museum in Branson. This two-story museum features more than 500 authentic artifacts found in historical shipwrecks all over the world!
During the tour, you'll see real pirate coins, weapons, and loot, as well as various items from different periods in history, from the Roman Empire to World War II!
The museum's artifacts were recovered from various ships, including the SS Republic—the famous Civil War ship that was found with the largest amount of treasure during this confrontation! The display also includes the treasure found in the wrecks of the British WWII warship SS Gairsoppa and the Spanish Tortugas.
You'll learn about the artifacts and treasures uncovered by Odyssey Marine Exploration as you watch documentaries from the Discovery Channel and National Geographic. Plus, you'll interact with specific exhibits, play games, test your knot-tying skills, and experience a hurricane simulator!

The museum contains various treasures dating back to the 1600s, including early currencies, Spanish Reales, and silver from WWII!
The early currency collection includes arrowheads, glass beads, silver, and gold used for trade in the distant past. The display features bronze arrowheads used as currency in the seventh century, and Chinese coins used from 618 AD until the 19th century! You'll also see glass beads recovered from a ship that sunk between 1680 and 1720.
The museum offers a one-of-a-kind chance to see Spanish Reales—special irregularly shaped silver coins found on the Tortugas shipwreck dating back to 1622!
On top of this, you'll see silver from a WWII British cargo ship that sunk while carrying over 7,000 tons of supplies—including silver—to the Allied Forces. After over 70 years under water, the Odyssey Marine Exploration team uncovered 48 tons of silver from a depth of 15,000 feet, some of which you can now view at Shipwrecked Museum in Branson!

Besides treasure, you'll find numerous authentic artifacts at the museum, recovered from various shipwrecks, and learn the story behind each one!
You'll see rare items that reveal more about the everyday lives of people from specific periods in history. Discover Rococo-style porcelain figures dating back to the 18th-century aristocratic homes, Blue Willow Ware pattern china from the same period, and the original bell from the SS Republic shipwreck!
Check out food items, perfumes, ink, and elixirs retrieved in their original condition from the SS Republic after spending 140 years on the ocean floor! All the goods are refrigerated and displayed only at Shipwrecked Museum.
If you're a fan of pirates, you'll be amazed by the Blackbeard's Adventure Pirate's Lair exhibit! It features various pirate weaponry, including cannonballs, a cutlass, a saber, and many other items you may have seen in movies and TV shows! Plus, you'll learn how each weapon was used.

These special activities are fantastic fun for all ages. Take your time to carefully examine the Forty Thieves Pirate Art hanging by the stairs between the museum's two levels. Besides serving as a beautiful wall decoration, this painting is also a game—engage in some friendly competition and try to find all 40 thieves!
Feel the thrill of avoiding a "shark attack" by walking, jumping, and balancing on an interactive seafloor! Suitable for all ages, this game is a real thrill as you try to escape sea creatures on the floor that ripples to mimic walking on water.
If you love educational exhibits, there's a special one that teaches you how to tie different knots! Using diagrams and step-by-step instructions, you'll learn how to tie bowline knots, a clove hitch, a round turn, and a figure-of-eight.
Plus, you'll have a chance to cool off in a hurricane simulator!

The museum is a short walk away from popular attractions like the incredible fire and water fountain show, downtown Branson, and a scenic boardwalk along the Taneycomo Lakefront.
