1 | What To Expect |

Expect the unexpected at Ripley’s Believe It or Not Museum in Branson! The museum was created by Robert Ripley, who started his collection of curiosities in 1918. There are over 30,000 unusual artifacts across 28 Believe It or Not museums worldwide, with around 500 items displayed in Branson!

Ripley’s collections of bizarre events, strange photos, and unique artifacts were first part of a newspaper panel before being adapted for radio, TV, and comic books. The best way to experience these collections is through the museums, which allow you to view these items up close.

The museum, also known as the ‘Odditorium’, is located inside a tilted building that looks like it was cracked by an earthquake. Before entering the establishment, you’re greeted by a giant Transformer, the Incredible Hulk, and a few peculiar figures that provide unique photo ops.

Once you step inside, you can explore eight different galleries and see fantastic artifacts from all over the world. This includes a vampire killing kit, authentic artwork, pop-culture memorabilia, and the world’s largest ball of yarn!

The self-guided tour usually lasts 90 minutes to two hours, but you can take as much time as you want. The museum is suitable for visitors of all ages, but some disturbing displays, like shrunken heads, may frighten younger children, so it's a better fit for kids over seven.
