4 | Conservatory and Botanical Gardens | The Conservatory and Botanical Garden located in the Bellagio Hotel and Casino is a wonder to behold. Professional horticulturists work with an engineering team to create some of the most whimsical and beautiful garden installations in the world. The displays change along with the seasons, including a special installation for the Lunar New Year. Knowing that a conservation team replants and repurposes most of the natural plant material will only enhance your experience. 5 | Hoover Dam | Located in Black Canyon on the Colorado River, Hoover Dam is only a 45-minute drive from Las Vegas, and well worth the visit. Impounding Lake Mead, Hoover Dam is the highest concrete arch in the United States. Constructed during the Great Depression, it is an engineering marvel. Used as a source for hydroelectric power, Hoover Dam generates enough power to run Los Angeles and parts of Arizona and Nevada. The Dam receives roughly seven million tourists a year, so it would be a shame to be so close by and not check it off your list. For the younger ones who aren’t quite ready for the bigger rides, there are midway games, an arcade, and other activities like laser games and mini-golf. There is something for every adventure buff in your group, and you can close out the day at the classic carousel.

7 | Red Rock Canyon | Red Rock Canyon is a quick 30-minute drive from Las Vegas and many tourists hail it as the highlight of their trip. Dine on free-range chicken, filet mignon, fresh lobster, or even New York strip steak, all prepared exhibition-style right in front of you by master chefs.
